Your Chest

Deep down she’s not happy with herself
Sometimes She wishes to be someone else
A person with a few less querks
A person that is more social and mild
Instead of putting all of her focus into cracking a smile

The heartache that she thought would burn away quickly…
Lasted for awhile
But stomping out the flame underfoot was too juvenile

Every time he left…
I look for you
Wonder if your doing anything new
Who are you calling boo?
Because I want it to be me

But the question lingers…

Can I get over my insecurities?
Believe in what he says?
In the same way that he trusts in me
But No
Her heart is willing but the mind won’t go
Digging up old issues like plowing a bizarre’s snow

The heartache that she thought would burn away quickly…
Lasted for awhile
But stomping out the flame underfoot was too juvenile

I wish we could believe in each other one last time
Give it a shot so I can get you off my mind

The heartache that she thought would burn away quickly…
Lasted for awhile
But stomping out the flame underfoot was too juvenile

You came back because you loved me
Did I put your care to rest?
I pray I didn’t because I’m not tired yet
I still believe that underneath your appearance of cold indifference
A heart molded for my love beats in your chest

Instead, she smoke till the burning sensation fills her chest!
