Supple

Supple

Cherries and almonds bathed in vanilla’s glaze

Are moisturizing rough cracks embedded

In supple skin that once clung to bones

Like freshly spun silk

You walked on air

So they called you twinkle toes

You possess an embrace lighter than feathers

Bursting from a full pillowcase

Your body slid into garments

Like coins being pushed through open slots

That were greased the night before

You tossed lovers like covers that served their purpose

But for one hour love didn’t seem worthless

Love always, Esha ❤
